Description:

The TRANSCOM equipment range compliments the Mine Radio System. It provides an intrinsically safe two-way VHF radio system designed to provide speech and calling facilities between mobile or fixed underground locations and a ‘radiating cable’ Mine Radio System having extension capability to other underground or surface systems.

A TRANSCOM master station and up to two TRANSCOM slaves provide, in their mobile application, communications and calling between a driver and guard. Also an onboard audible and visual alarm is available in the event of the parting of the carriages or the operation of a Pull Key (if fitted) on a haulage or self-powered train.
