The Auteldac 102 intrinsically safe mine push button telephone forms part of a system complete with its surface interface.
It is purpose-designed for underground coal mining installation and is tough, weather resistant and built to withstand operator abuse in environmental extremes.
The Auteldac 102 is made from conductive
glass filled polyester with a robust handset and armoured steel or curly cord. The piezo electric ringer gives over 85 dB SPL for ringing and emergency calls.
Operation is simple, with finger guide holes to eliminate miss-dialling even when wearing thick gloves. A dedicated ‘EMERGENCY’ button operates an alert (to an Emergency Desk, if fitted), or can be pre-programmed to dial an emergency number.
Internal links provide three recall options and LD/MF dialling to enable automatic connection via a surface interface to PABX and PAX/PBX surface exchanges. All exchange facilities can be accessed when using the star, hash and recall buttons when tone dialling is selected.
The recall button provides all the usual
facilities.
Time-out is standard and should the handset
be left off-hook, the Auteldac 102 will automatically revert to normal on-hook status after a period of three minutes (programmable).
The all electronic internal module is conformal coated for reliability. An easily accessible Ni-MH battery provides the internal operating supply and is trickle charged from the surface interface down the telephone line.
Connection is via a simple twisted pair cable that can be contained within a multi-core if required. Up to three telephones can be connected for ‘party line’ working from the line pair by a four-core link.
An auxiliary (‘AUX’) output allows connection of additional beacons or ringers powered either from their own supply or the telephone battery (subject to certification conditions).
