Emergency Telephones

SYSTEM OVERVIEW

Not all Police Stations are manned 24 hours a day and, as a legislative requirement, must have a communication link for the public to access information or emergency lines when a station is closed.

A telephone situated outside the door provides a vital link for those in need of the Services.  Other areas, such as police cells, enquiry desks, delivery/despatch areas can require a telephone for security purposes or simply for ease of communication.  These telephones need to be weather resistant and able to withstand operator abuse.

SYSTEM FUNCTIONALITY

Many stations already have GAI-Tronics telephones installed around their buildings.  By using standard or bespoke products, GAI-Tronics provides the ideal solution to meet individual customers' criteria.

One force using the GAI-Tronics range of telephones is the Metropolitan Police.  Their area includes over 150 stations where the telephones were recommended for their robust nature and functionality.  To ensure the telephones are in optimum operation at all times, GAI-Tronics has been awarded the contract for on-site maintenance.
