SYSTEM FUNCTIONALITY
Housed within Transport For London’s (TFL) distinctive help point design, is a GAI-Tronics hands-free industrial two button Help Point telephone.
Button one provides an automatic dial connection to the C2C information line. Button two provides an emergency call facility overriding any existing calls from the information button.
Each telephone also includes an audio amplifier for connection to external platform inductive loops for the hearing impaired.
A CCTV contact output is provided to enable automatic activation of local CCTV providing system operators with audible and visual contact.
In addition an audio output is provided for input to a locally situated DVR, enabling a visual and audible record of calls.
C2C also require the ability to monitor the Help Points and check their operation at any time. The Help Points have GAI-Tronics SMART (Self-Monitoring and Reporting Technology) built-in, which operates with GAI-Tronics T.M.A. (Telephone Management Application) remotely monitoring each of the Help Points from a central location. C2C are able to automatically call each telephone (or the phone call in) and fully test the units operation. This feature enables C2C to easily identify telephones that may have a problem, without visiting the unit.
